As our company continues to grow, we are currently seeking a *detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Bookkeeper* to join our team *immediately* and support our financial operations.
Position Overview
The Accounting Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and supporting the company’s accounting and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial information with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
• Record and verify daily financial transactions
• Manage *accounts payable and accounts receivable*
• Prepare invoices, expense reports, and payment records
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Assist with *payroll processing and employee payment records*
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and company policies
• Support management and external accountants during audits or financial reviews
• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
Qualifications & Requirements
• Previous experience as a *Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar role*
• Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial record management
• Experience with accounting software such as *QuickBooks or similar accounting systems*
• Proficiency in *Microsoft Excel, Word, and office software*
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Diploma or degree in *Accounting, Finance, or a related field* is considered an asset
Work Conditions
• Full-time position
